Five months in the Worley Parsons Engineering office in Houston, Texas, planning and scheduling the construction activities for the Continuous Catalyst Recovery project in Pascagoula, Mississippi utilizing Primavera P5. The process was to develop a Level 3 schedule, integrating the engineering and purchasing deliverables with the construction task. Thus developing a IMS (Integrated Master Schedule)

Man-loaded the construction schedule using the Level 3 estimate. Produced histograms and leveled. Reviewed Critical path with upper management and assisted to perform the risk analysis. I was then tasked to assist in development of the status matrix between three separate projects (CCR, ETP & PBOP). 

Moved to Pascagoula, MS and functioned as the senior planner/scheduler during the course of construction, utilizing Primavera P6. Integrated and aligned the sub-contractors schedules to follow the IMS, developed “rules of credit” in order to develop Earned Value measured against actual man-hours, tracked progress, formulated workarounds due to delays from underground obstructions and plant operational needs.

Developed the build strategy for all civil, structural and interconnecting piping activities and loaded into Primavera P3 schedule.

This was a very difficult project due to the unit being located in middle of the operating plant and in a very tight (postage stamp) area.

The project scope was to modify/retrofit a Victory Class Oil Rig so that production processing as well as drilling could be performed offshore.  I researched work activities with Engineering and the Project Management Team to detect if any “client requested” work activities were beyond the original Lump Sum project scope.  Developed cost estimates for such work and submitted to the Client on a Change Order basis.
